Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnne Kymes is also one of two most recent Grammy Award recipients. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23 1971) is an American bluegrass country singer and musician. Her career in music began as a young girl, having won local competitions at 10, before making her first recording at 14. She signed to Rounder Records in 1985 and made her debut self-titled album on the label in the year 1987. She was asked to join the group with whom she performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and released her first album as a band in 1989.
