The debut single of hers was released in the year 2015. The track was highly praised by both critics and listeners. The Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it as 19. Even Rolling Stone named it as one of the top songs of 2015. That same year, she debuted her album Know It All with the third single Scars to Your Beautiful being one of five original tracks that peaked at Billboard charts, including the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. This track was special because, based on her Rap-Up interview she gave many of the listeners could relate to her experience in finding love for themselves, as well as doubting herself. Cara has a reputation for her messages on emotional health, kindness, and self-love in her songs. Her music is an expression of her own struggles with insomnia and mental health. According to a Reuters interview she describes her album as half tumultuous and half well-crafted. People have told her that she discovered her development during therapy. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto in Canada. She was born on July 11th, 1996 to parents with Italian origins. When she was just 10 years old, her parents gifted her a guitar which became the beginning of her love for music. When she was thirteen, she began singing songs she liked on YouTube to prove to the public that she was a talented artist and was able to pursue a career as a musician. Indeed one of the covers Sweater Weather ended up getting noticed by a record label called EP Entertainment which allowed her to compose and record tracks.
