Her debut song Here came out in 2015. The single was a success and was praised by critics and listeners alike. It peaked at number 19 on the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone ranked the song as one of 2015's Top Songs. The same year, she debuted her album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being the first of five tracks which peaked on the Billboard charts. This includes The Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. The track is special since, in light of her Rap-Up interview she gave many of her listeners were able to relate to her experience in finding love for themselves, and rethinking their beliefs about her. Cara's music often contains positive thoughts about mental health, and the importance of being self-love. Every song Cara sings comes directly from her struggles with insomnia, mental illness and other issues. Interview with Reuters she said that her album was "half tumultuous" as well as "half flawless". The singer says that she found her growth through therapy. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto, Canada. She was born July 11th, 1996 to parents with Italian origins. When she was 10 years old, her parents bought her a guitar which became the beginning of her passion for music. Three years later, when she was 13 she started singing her most loved songs via YouTube. It proved to be a fantastic method to demonstrate to the world that she possessed both talent and courage. One of the songs Sweater Weather was able to get her noticed by a record label named EP Entertainment which allowed her to create and write tracks.
