Coleman was from Lancashire and born in Blackpool. She was a student at the Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the head girl. She also received straight As on her A-levels. On the 21st March, 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat made it clear at a press conference that Coleman will as the Doctor's companion along with Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat decided to choose her for the role because she has the best chemistry with Smith. Additionally, she was faster than Smith. Eva's roles in TV series"Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami are notable. The latter even garnered her two nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards as well as gave her the chance to experiment with her talents in music. Eva is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and an philanthropist. Her third husband is the father of her daughter.
