Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March 2012 press conference that Coleman will be Matt Smith's companion after Karen Gillan left. Apart from being an actor Eva is also a charitable philanthropist, as well as an businesswoman. She has been married three times, and has a daughter who is and a second husband.
