Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She was a student at the Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the head girl. She also scored straight A's in her A-levels. When discussing her Emmerdale appearance, Coleman admitted regrets that she did not go to university. Coleman joined a theater company, In Yer Space while in school. She performed with them in the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. She was awarded an award for her performance and the play was also received favourably. Coleman received the role as Jasmine Thomas while she was auditioning at drama schools. It happened in 2005. Coleman was nominated in 2007 for two Awards. In 2007 Coleman was nominated for two awards, The British Soap Awards as the most promising newcomer and the National Television Awards as the Most Popular. In 2009 she won nominations for two categories including Best Actress-Sexiest Female as well as Best Performance Dramatic. Coleman was also nominated as Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. The 21st of March, 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat confirmed at a press conference that Coleman would be the companion of the Doctor alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat decided to cast her in the role because she has the best chemistry with Smith. She also spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She is active in the industry since 1987 and has been part of various TV shows and films. Her most popular role was on TV. Eva is most well-known for her work on the show Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and as the detective Natalia Boa Vistas in CSI Miami. The latter even garnered her two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations and gave her a chance to experiment with her talents in music. Eva is not only acting, but she's also a businesswoman and philanthropist. Her third husband is father of her daughter.
